GATE LOCK TROUBLESHOOTING
CLOSING THE LOCK
In order to close the lock, the dials must be set to the actual code that has been programmed. To open the lock, you need to enter the same code.
There is not a master reset and 9,999 possible codes. If it won’t open with the code you think was programmed, that means you are not entering the actual programmed code for the lock.
PROGRAMMING AND CLOSING LOCK
The lock cannot be closed unless the dials are set to the same position as they were after programming your personal code.
LOCK WILL NOT OPEN
The dials must be set to the same position as when the lock was first programmed and closed. If the dials spin freely, this indicates the lock is working properly. There are 9,999 possible codes, enter the code that was programmed and the lock will open.
If you can’t open the lock, you will need to break open the lock and buy a new lock kit.

DIALS ARE DIFFICULT TO TURN
There are three possible reasons that makes it difficult to turn the dials.
First: The remaining latch wire is getting stuck between the front and back of the lock. Install the latch wire as per our instructions:
Second: Dials being difficult to turn can be caused by one of the four mounting screws being too tight therefore causing the frame of the lock to twist. Loosen the four mounting screws slightly and try again.
Third: Difficulty in turning the dials is caused by a missing rubber backing for the lock. When you first receive the Gate Lock package, no not throw away the rubber back on the lock. It must be present for the lock to operate properly.
Also spray WD 40 into the dials to help lubricate the dials and be sure to keep the weatherproof cover closed to minimize dirt entering through the dials.
