GATE LOCK TROUBLESHOOTING
PROGRAMMING AND CLOSING LOCK
The lock cannot be closed unless the dials are set to the same position as they were after programming your personal code.
LOCK WILL NOT OPEN
The dials must be set to the same position as when the lock was first programmed and closed. If the dials spin freely, this indicates the lock is working properly. There are 9,999 possible codes, enter the code that was programmed and the lock will open.
DIALS ARE DIFFICULT TO TURN
There are two possible reasons that makes it difficult to turn the dials.
1. The remaining latch wire is getting stuck between the front and back of the lock.

- If one of the four mounting screws is installed too tight, this can cause the frame of the lock to twist and prevents the lock from completely closing. Loosen all four mounting screws slightly. The lock must be completely closed before the dials will spin freely.
LATCH WIRE HAS BROKEN
The cable crimp can get caught on the edge of the hole in the post causing the cable to break.
Before installing a replacement latch, please drill out the hole in the post and create a funnel shape into the wood.
